Chlorinated paraffin is mainly made of polyvinyl chloride-assisted plasticizers, which are non-toxic, non-flammable and commonly used. Therefore, it can be used as a plasticizer, flame retardant, and extrusion additive for various lubricating oils widely used in plastic adhesives. With liquid paraffin containing 95% straight-chain spheroidal alkanes as raw material, it is produced by chlorinated paraffin acid wax and chlorine. According to the content of chlorine, it is divided into chlorinated paraffin 42, 52 and other varieties. For example, liquid paraffin with an average carbon chain number of 12 or 15 is used as raw material, and a product with a chlorine content of 52% 2% is called chlorinated paraffin 52.

　  Chlorinated paraffin-52 series is one of the main products of chlorinated paraffin series with n-paraffins with an average carbon atom of about 15. At present, the domestic production standard is HG2092-91.

　  It is colorless or hundreds of colors to light yellow viscous liquid, with tasteless, non-toxic, tasteless, volatile, non-flammable and other characteristics, widely used in cables, but also used in water pipes, floors, films, artificial leather, lubricating oil, etc., is a relatively economical plasticizer (or auxiliary plasticizer) After using chlorinated paraffin-52, it not only reduces the manufacturing cost, but more importantly gives them the flame retardancy that is difficult to obtain.

 　Chlorinated paraffin-52 is mainly PVC. As a plasticizer or auxiliary, its interchangeability and heat resistance are better than chlorinated paraffin-42. In addition, the use of additives in rubber, paint, and cutting fluid can play a role in fire prevention, fire resistance, and improving cutting accuracy. It can also be used as an anti-coagulant and press agent for lubricating oils.
